July 10th, Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, announce publicly for the first time Microsoft 365 at the Microsoft Inspire partner conference in Washington, D.C., as a combination of key parts of Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS, delivering a complete intelligent and secure solution to empower employees.

Microsoft 365 Enterprise is designed for outsized organizations and integrates Office 365 Enterprise, Windows 10 Enterprise, and Enterprise Mobility and Security to empower employees to be creative and work together securely. It is offered in two plans—Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5. Many of you knew these plans by their former name—Secure Productive Enterprise E3 and Secure Productive Enterprise E5.

Microsoft 365 Business is projected for smaller companies. It’s designed to give power to your team, safeguard your business, and simplify IT management with a single resolution. It includes three tailored business apps that are designed to help small business owners.

• Microsoft Connections—A simple-to-use email marketing service.
• Microsoft Listings—An easy way to publish your business information on top sites.
• Microsoft Invoicing—A new way to create professional invoices and get paid fast.

More on that in a moment. Microsoft 365 Business has been released as a public preview. For now, the preview is free, although Microsoft recommends that customers hire a partner to deploy the solution. At GA, Microsoft 365 Business will cost $20 per user, compared to the $12.50 per user charge for Office 365 Business Premium. Like Office 365 Business Premium, Microsoft 365 Business includes Microsoft Office, 1TB of file storage, a 50GB mailbox, online meetings, Microsoft Teams, and business applications including Outlook Customer Manager, Bookings.
